IMPROV KINGSTON

Improv For Seniors

We are excited to be offering Improv Classes for our most experienced performers!

Improv Comedy or Improvisational Theatre is the world’s oldest artform. Improv is story telling without a script. It is all made up on the spot and often leads to uncontrollable laughter.

Why Take an Improv Class? Improv is a practice that has many positive side effects, far too many to name all of them so here are a few: Sharpened mind, quicker to respond, confident and comfortable in one’s skin, increased self awareness.

Improv Kingston has a long track record of offering high quality improv comedy training in a supportive and positive environment.

As our Director Dan would say, ‘Don’t think about it, jump right in!’

Cory Cooper

Improv Kingston is so lucky to have connected with our outstanding instructor for Improv for Seniors, Cory Cooper.

Cory is a veteran actor who has appeared in film and television and has received training from many prestigious organizations including Sears & Switzer, Seneca College, Tarragon Theatre School and The Second City Toronto.

While Cory claims to be retired he has been coaching and teaching improv around North America for the past several years and truly loves it.

Cory finds the rewards of teaching improv are increased exponentially when he leads a class of seniors. The amazing stories and experiences they have had come shining through in the scenes that they create.

With an open, supportive approach, we know you are going to love working with Cory!
